Development Contractor

Beka (Wilson) Whitson is a fund development professional with 13 years of experience in political and environmental advocacy. She specializes in fostering staff leadership, navigating organizational transitions, as well as engaging donors and funders to give generously to further the mission. While at Conservation Colorado, she successfully directed a team of 60+ staff and board to participate in development efforts.

We contract with Beka to make sure our clients have the training needed to run efficient, successful development programs and have a plan to take their organization to the next level – whatever and whoever their cause, goals, staff, or donors may be.

Development Work: Grassroots and Corporate Fundraising, Major Donor Development, Organizational Transitions, Growth Planning, Staff Training

Outside of Work:  Beka loves to spend as much time outside as possible with her wife Sarah – from gardening to backpacking. When at home, you can find her baking or cuddling with her dog (Koru) and cats (Leela and Kai).
